As we wrap up a successful marathon, remembering 2013 and watch Notre Dame burn, but hear the French resiliency determined to rebuild; I am reminded of Mr. Roger’s quote: “You will always find people who are helping.”
Fred Rogers wrote in the Mister Rogers Parenting Book. He continued: “To this day, especially in times of ‘disaster,’ I remember my mother’s words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers — so many caring people in this world.”
The joy in our practice can sometimes be as simple as remembering we are the helpers to people looking for comfort and caring.
