As is often referenced, joy is deeper than just the result of happy circumstances. The mature view ofjoy is that it is a by-product of serving others, of sharing good.

I hoped (but not able to figure out how) to share with you a video of Anthony Medlin Jr. in NYC who over the past few weeks has “gone viral.”

Anthony Medlin Jr. is from Brooklyn and has experienced some rough patches in life but has made it his mission now to spread joy through the great unifier of music. He rides through the streets of NYC on his cherry-red motorcycle with music playing while also dancing to the music. 

He has quickly become an icon with people reaching out when they see him and thanking him for creating such a “positive vide” and bringing these serendipitous moments of Joy to the people he passes in the streets of NYC.  So simple and yet so very powerful!!

I recently read an article on the benefits of keeping a gratitude journal which prompted me to try a new idea to get back into journaling again. (I am a long standing on again/off again journal writer) 

I found a new free app called 1 second every day.  This takes a quick 1 second video and allows you to make a journal entry to go along with it.  It is a fun way to capture and save moments as you go through your day to day activities and think about what you are grateful for.
