Joy in our Practice

March 12, 2019

Leaders who want to increase joy and success in the workplace must learn to take most of their personal satisfaction from the achievements of the people they lead, not from the power they exercise.

Dennis Bakke

This quote above serves as a reminder for me the true meaning of finding your own joy in leading a team in the nursing profession. In addition, the team’s achievements are the direct results of a leader’s ability and hard work in creating a healthy, joyful environment.

Also, I started reading this great book over the weekend  Dennis Bakke’s book is a ‘coaching manual’ on “how to make fun and success synonymous in the workplace”. Below is a quick link.
